More About Hillary…

Her interest in interior design was apparent during high school years when she experimented with small projects. Prior to attending FIDM she had worked in customer service for 5 years where she began using her technical training in design as well as developed skills in building diverse client relationships.Prior to attending FIDM, she had also completed coursework in the interior design program at Moorpark College, CA. She currently enjoys designing for both residential and commercial spaces. “My favorite part of design is the personality a space can give off and the affect it creates on an individual. My goal is to not only create a space that is esthetically pleasing but is functionality based on the clients’ needs and perspective.”

Kim Knight, Design Director

Kim holds an associates degree from Moorpark College in interior design as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Cal State San Bernardino in Sociology. She is currently working towards her Masters Degree in Interior Architecture at UCLA.

    More About Kim…

Kim brings several years of experience as a home stager with her to Deborah Davis Design. While designing for clients who were preparing to sell their homes, she developed a talent for space planning and accessorizing spaces. Prior to her staging experience, Kim was taking a break from her career in social work to raise her young children. Her previous work with children and adolescents in the social services field helped her realize the impact that physical surroundings have on the individual. Kim strives to incorporate this knowledge and experience into her designs. “Its fun to start out with an abstract concept that becomes a tangible finished space. Everyday is something different, and I love the variety of work that comes with creating interiors. Even if you had two clients that had the same style, their individuality shines through to the finished product. Plus I, like, wanted to do this since I was 13 and there is video to prove it.”
